Here are the profiles of the principals of Sydney Consulting:

Managing Directors

Bill James

Bill began his consulting career in 1988 working for the Alexander Proudfoot Company, (a private US based company subsequently listed in the UK).  He worked throughout the Australasian market as Project Manager, Chief of Operations, Vice President of Business Analysis, and Vice President of Business Development.   In 1994, he joined Morgan & Banks, a publicly listed Search, Selection and Recruitment Company in Australia. He established a successful management consulting business within Morgan & Banks (subsequently acquired by TMP Hudson).
 
In 1996, Bill established Sydney Consulting Corporation Pty Ltd, a management consulting company based in Sydney Australia.

Sydney Consulting Corporation Pty Ltd is now the premier productivity change management company in Australia and New Zealand with over one hundred and fifty successful productivity improvement programs to its credit.  The company web site, including client lists and references, may be viewed at www.sydneyconsulting.com.au.   

In 2007, Sydney Consulting Corporation Pty Ltd extended its market to include South East Asia and China opening a subsidiary company with offices in Bangkok.  This expansion included the introduction of a Strategic Services capability. The Bangkok office actively serves a number of Asian countries, including Vietnam, Indonesia, Laos and China. Client lists and references for the Asian subsidiary may also be viewed on the web. 

Bill is currently a Director and shareholder of Sydney Consulting Corporation Pty Ltd, a Director of Sydney Consulting Corporation (Asia) Ltd and President of an independent management consulting company, Sydney Consulting LLC based in California USA.

Over the course of twenty years consulting to large public and private companies, Bill has worked extensively in the Automotive, Pharmaceutical and Health, Retail, Manufacturing, Mining, Professional Services, Food Processing, Engineering, Banking/Finance/Insurance, Logistics/Transport, Consumer Products and Telecommunications industries.

Bill has been focused for two decades on projects designed to deliver large increases in profitability within timelines of less than twenty five calendar weeks. Bill holds an Honours Degree in Political Science from the University of Sydney and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California with his wife and two sons.

Eric Ng

Eric is the Joint Managing Director of Sydney Consulting Corporation. He has worked extensively as a management consultant with a number of international consulting companies, in a number of countries, including England, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Japan and Australia.

Eric was first trained by United Nations ILO experts, who at the time were assisting the Singapore Government to set up its economic development plans. He spent a number of years working with these experts in one of the Economic Development Board's production facilities.

Eric is an Industrial Engineer by qualification and discipline. He is a Corporate Member of the Institute of Management Services (UK) and was on the board of the Singapore Professional Centre in 1971-1972. He has presented a paper on "Comparative Estimating as Applied to Ship Building and Repair" to the World Congress on Productivity Science in Bombay in 1973.

Eric's strength lies in his ability to design simple Management Operating Systems in complex operating environments. The Management Operating Systems are designed to enable, and indeed demand focus on key operating issues that are drivers to enhanced profitability.

Vice President Operations Integrity

Diane Brown

Diane Brown, Vice President Operations and Integrity for Sydney Consulting Corporation, is an experienced change management professional who has worked with companies in the USA, Canada, Malaysia, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia.

Diane holds a Masters degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and a Masters degree in Business Research Methods. Diane is currently earning a PhD in Moral Philosophy under the direction of Professor Max Weismann who was the protégé and friend of America's foremost philosopher, Dr Mortimer J Adler, until Dr Adler's death in 2001.

Much of her twenty years consulting experience was in developing and delivering  programs that balance focus on behavioural change with systems development and metrics to achieve significant, sustainable operational improvements. Other program types include customer management and sales productivity. Diane's experience encompasses designing diagnostic tools and methods for analysis of client needs; and, design of change programs with heavy emphasis on the involvement and development of managers and their teams.

Director, Business Development

Ian Bonnette

Ian has a diverse background in Engineering and Sports Administration, having been the Chief Executive Officer of Bradken Consolidated (part of the ANI Group) Steel Foundry Group (1988 - 1995), and CEO of the Newcastle Knights (1995 - 2002).

On returning to Sydney, Ian assisted colleagues in analysing and restructuring businesses in small to medium size capital venture projects.

In July 2005, Ian joined Sydney Consulting Corporation bringing a wealth of practical and administrative knowledge to our business having worked from the shop floor to the CEO's office in very demanding and unforgiving industries.

Ian understands the pressures and demands on a Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer and is quick to assess the needs of a company in order to improve its bottom line.

Ian's experience in local and international markets as well as building customer relations was evident in the resurrection and restructuring of the Newcastle Knights, a brand and business that reached the pinnacle of achievement of the NRL in 2001.

Director

Alan R Cook

Alan is a Director of the Sydney Consulting Corporation having taken up this position in October 2006 initially as the General Manager Strategy Services before assuming the role as a Director of our productivity programs. For the previous four years he was a Director of Performance Drivers, a subsidiary of Sydney Consulting providing strategic and operational expertise to leading Australian businesses and government institutions.

Alan has practiced as a management consultant for the past 12 years focusing on strategy, marketing and operations. As a principal of a US based consulting firm, he led and delivered business improvement projects in North America, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia. Originally an electrical engineer with one of the world's leading power and automation firms, Alan moved into a number of executive roles including Commercial Manager and then Marketing Director for a large energy utility and Director of a start up PPP providing efficiency services to Australian industry.

Alan holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Business Management and an Associate Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

Alan's skills are in assisting clients to gain an understanding of how Sydney Consulting's approach to productivity improvement can benefit their business and improve bottom-line performance.

Managing Director, Asia

Jonathan McKeown BA, LLB

Jonathan has joined Sydney Consulting Corporation in a new role as Executive Director. His working history has included law, international business, and project and corporate management across diverse industries.

For 14 years Jonathan worked throughout Asia and Middle East, where he acquired a sound understanding of how the public and private sector operates in these regions.

Jonathan assisted in excess of 200 companies in the commercial, consumer and industrial sector, including being retained by BHP Steel Limited to develop business in Asia for its Australian clients.

Jonathan was appointed CEO of the NSW Farmers' Association from 2000 to 2004, where he developed the association into the most powerful lobby group for farmers in Australia by developing strong contacts on a state and federal level and raising its profile within the media.

Jonathan is a highly experienced change manager who has held a number of high profile roles, he specialises in strategic thinking and alignment programs which are focussed on helping clients to achieve their growth objectives
