Bulk Handling Limited ("CBH") has been working together with Sydney
Consulting Corporation for a period of almost one year.
...we
are currently on our third project. We have worked together during that
time through several core parts of the business. These include Terminal
Operations ..., Maintenance, Metropolitan Grain Centre, Logistics and
Information Systems.
To
date the programmes have delivered significant annualised savings with
a return on investment to CBH of over 4:1. This excludes the expected
improvements from the improved logistics planning tools and disciplines
which while being less directly measurable, represent the heart of the
organisation in its overall performance.
As
can be seen, there have been some excellent results. There also has
been a marked improvement in culture and focus across the entire
management team.

annum and places the Company immediately in a more competitive status
with the grain industry. The industry stakeholders are demanding more
accountability and this review has certaintly delivered such.
Another
result has been the development of a logistics modelling tool which has
improved logistics planning and introduced a far more disciplined
approach. However, the most significant outcome has been the business
improvement which reflects cost savings and improved productivity.
